Was on YouTube and ran across this wonderful video. If you are having a headache, try this.
No good deed goes unpunished is the line I am reminded of when I think of battling this cold! My husband and I took a family to the Hank Aaron Stadium in Mobile to see the lights for Christmas. Neither of us have been around children in several years, so we have no resistance to the little pitre dishes.
The lights were wonderfully beautiful! The family and two girls had a great time and we were blessed to be able to provide this little bit of Christmas cheer that they wouldn't have had otherwise. Both Bryan and myself are blessed to have essential oils to help us cope with the aftermath of the season.
Right on queue, we both took sick just shy of 7 days later. Out comes the Thieves and RC to the rescue! Thieves helps by boosting your immune system and because of the individual oils blended, makes it awesome for soothing that nasty sore throat from draining sinuses. Next comes the RC which stands for respiratory congestion. This is the synergy that not only kept my sinuses from getting clogged, but has made my coughing productive.
I am a violent cougher! It is like my body is trying to cough up my toe nails. I even vomit because of the violence of the convulsions my body goes through to clear my chest. Then there is the massive headache from all this.
If you are wondering why I did not run to the drugstore to find relief from the symptoms of this cold. The answer is that I am unable to take many of the over the counter drugs that are effective because I take blood pressure medication. I have to be careful of the interactions that the drugs may have if taken together or too closely in time of administration. Essential oils do not react with any of my medications and are just as effective. In fact, they are more effective because they will boost immunity while helping you with the more immediate reason you applied them. That makes essential oils a win win for me.
Yesterday we went to the beach to get some fresh air without the hassle of worrying about who may be close enough to catch our bug. The day was beautiful, the wind was mild and the temperature was perfect. It was just what the doctor ordered to help us feel a bit better. By the writing of this, we are nearing the tail end of this malady. Thankfully! I hope you enjoy the pictures of the beach. It is one of the things I love about living here.
Born and raised in Colorado, I met my husband Bryan and call Florida Home.
